Executive Development Program : Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

A 20-hour immersive, live-online program successfully conducted from 23 May to 19 June 2026 for members of the Armed Forces and their families under Project Deepak initiative sponsored by Sambhav-Kadam Foundation. The AI-ML (1/4) is part of the 4-course modular sequential step-up journey to impart  high level of  functional proficiency in AI-ML using a No Code approach. to military families.

The awardee of this certificate  has successfully completed the AI-ML (1) Foundation Programme at MILVEST 2026, demonstrating a strong foundational understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, and data-driven decision making.

During the programme, the participant developed an understanding of the evolution, types, and applications of Artificial Intelligence, the relationship between Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning, and the growing importance of data literacy in modern organisations. The learning journey introduced the principles of supervised and unsupervised machine learning, classification and regression techniques, clustering, predictive analytics, and the practical role of AI in business, industry, healthcare, defence, and digital transformation.

Through extensive 'hands-on learning' using the no-code Orange Data Mining platform, the participant gained practical exposure to data import, data exploration, preprocessing, missing value imputation, outlier detection, feature engineering, feature scaling, data visualisation, workflow design, model building, prediction, and interpretation of machine learning outputs. Practical understanding was developed in applying Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, and introductory clustering techniques for solving real-world analytical problems.

The programme further strengthened analytical thinking by introducing concepts of training, validation and testing datasets, model evaluation, cross-validation, performance metrics, and evidence-based interpretation of results. Participants also explored the use of visual analytics, business use cases, and modern AI-enabled decision support systems.

Beyond technical knowledge, the programme fostered a data mindset characterised by critical thinking, structured problem solving, pattern recognition, evidence-based decision making, and confidence in interpreting data to support organisational and business decisions. The participant has thereby established a strong foundation for continued learning in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, and allied technologies, enabling progression towards advanced study and practical application in professional, organisational, and entrepreneurial environments.
